The Roman Pantheon: The Other Half of the Classical Mythos
Like
the Greek Pantheon, the Roman Pantheon is another one that usually surfaces
in people's minds when discussing ancient religions. The Roman (Italian)
pantheon also has a god of sun and light that many people do not use or
recognize because of his name. The god's name is Lucifer and he has
NO relation to the Christian Satan. But because Christians and the
Roman Catholics said Lucifer was the name of the devil, most ancient Romans
were afraid to honor this god any longer. In looking through the
books and archives, most sources on Roman mythology never name a god of
sun or light. I have included him here in this pantheon, as well
as his daughter Aradia. If you have a problem with that, then these
pages are obviously not for you.
